Description
Echeveria 'Dark Vader' (a hybrid of Echeveria 'Topsy Turvy' x 'Black Prince') is a stunning succulent that features deep, dark foliage with a unique rosette shape and slightly twisted, pointed leaves. The foliage colour varies from dark green to almost black, especially with sun exposure, creating a dramatic statement in succulent arrangements or as a feature plant in pots and garden beds. This variety is ideal for outdoor gardens, rockeries, or as an eye-catching indoor potted plant with plenty of bright light.
This hardy succulent thrives in Perth’s dry conditions, needing well-draining, sandy soil to prevent root rot. Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. Feed during the growing season with a low-nitrogen succulent fertiliser for best results. In early summer (Birak), it may produce small, red-orange flowers that add a charming contrast to its dark foliage.
