Description
Genta™ Pink is a vibrant cultivar of Diascia barberae, commonly known as Twinspur. This compact, evergreen perennial features large, soft pink flowers with a delicate yellow throat, blooming profusely from spring through summer (Djilba to Birak). Its upright, bushy habit reaches 32–35 cm in height and 31–38 cm in width, making it ideal for containers, hanging baskets, or the front of garden beds. The lush green foliage provides a perfect backdrop for the abundant blooms, adding a splash of colour to any setting.
In Perth's Mediterranean climate, Genta™ Pink thrives in full sun to partial shade. Plant in fertile, well-drained soil with a slightly acidic pH between 6.0 and 6.5. Water regularly to maintain consistent moisture, especially during dry spells, but avoid waterlogging. Fertilise fortnightly with a high-potash fertiliser during the growing season to encourage continuous flowering. Deadhead spent blooms to promote new growth and maintain a tidy appearance. Protect from strong winds to prevent damage to the delicate stems.
