Plant sizing

The Capsicum 'Super Size' variety is known for its large, robust bell peppers that are perfect for stuffing, grilling, or adding to a variety of recipes. With thick walls and a sweet, mild flavour, these capsicums are a wonderful addition to any home garden. This variety thrives in full sun and well-draining, fertile soil, making it suitable for garden beds or larger pots, especially in the warm climate of Perth. During Djilba (Early Spring) to Bunuru (Late Summer), the plant blooms with small white flowers, eventually forming its signature oversized fruit.

For best results, plant 'Super Size' capsicums in a sunny location with rich, well-drained soil. Water regularly to keep the soil slightly moist but avoid waterlogging. Feed every 4–6 weeks with a balanced fertiliser to support vigorous growth and fruit production. The capsicums typically mature in 80–100 days after flowering, reaching full size when they develop their rich colour. Harvesting regularly will encourage the plant to produce more fruit throughout the warmer months.
