Description
The Capsicum 'Red Beauty' is a highly productive variety known for its vibrant, deep red fruit and sweet flavour, perfect for use in salads, cooking, or as a fresh snack. This cultivar is well-suited to Perth's climate and can be grown successfully in garden beds or large pots. Its white flowers emerge from Djilba (Early Spring) to Bunuru (Late Summer), developing into plump, red fruit that brightens up any growing space. With proper care, 'Red Beauty' provides a reliable harvest throughout the warmer months.
To grow 'Red Beauty' capsicums, plant them in a sunny spot with fertile, well-draining soil. Regular watering is essential, keeping the soil moist but not waterlogged. Feed the plant with a balanced, slow-release fertiliser every 4-6 weeks during the growing season to encourage healthy growth and fruit production. The capsicums are ready to harvest approximately 75–80 days after planting, with fully ripened red fruit yielding the sweetest flavour. Regular harvesting will encourage the plant to continue producing through the growing season.
