How To Grow |
Sow direct where they are to grow into a well prepared bed. Sow thinly in rows 30cm (12in) apart. Cover lightly with 5mm (¼in) of fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist. Seedlings appear in 10-21 days.Harvest approximately 12-16 weeks from sowing. When harvesting select young carrots evenly from the rows, allowing the remainder to develop fully. Keep well watered and weed free. |

How To Cook |
Halve carrots lengthwise and cut crosswise into slices. Stir-fry carrots in hot oil until they begin to colour. Add garlic, then a splash of water and butter, and simmer until carrots are just tender. Stir in lemon juice, salt and pepper to taste.
