Description
Botanical Name: Phaseolus vulgaris
One of the best flavoured Dwarf French Beans there is. It produces heavy yields of glossy purple stringless beans. The pods change colour to an appetizing dark green colour when cooked. Half-hardy annual.
Plant Height: 50-60cm
| How To Grow |
Sow seeds 25mm (2in) deep, 7-10cm apart into dark, damp soil. Avoid watering for 2-3 days afterwards. Ensure soil has been prepared with organic compost & aged animal manure. Allow 50cm between rows. Ensure danger of frost has passed & protect from wind. Water regularly. Additional fertilising is not required as legumes produce their own nitrogen. Regular harvest will result in prolonged yields. Best picked when young. |
