Description
A triple-grafted plum with three varieties on the one tree - "Flavour Supreme", "Santa Rosa" and "Mariposa". Requires 350-500 chill hours, making it an excellent fruiter in Perth. Triple-grafted trees are fully self-fertile as the three varieties will pollinate one-another. As a result, they take up less room as you don't have to buy three separate trees.
Flavour Supreme:
A cross between a plum and apricot, known as an interspecific plum. Has a firm, juicy texture with pinkish flesh and very sweet flavour.
Mariposa:
A popular blood plum with large, heart-shaped fruit. Excellent sweet, flavour and very dark, red juicy flesh. Sweeter, larger and softer than "Satsuma". Used for fresh fruit, juice, jam and stewing.
Santa Rosa:
Large, purplish-crimson fruit with a pale blue bloom. Yellow flesh with a red blush just below the skin and a mildly, sweet flavour. Heavy bearer and one of the most popular plum varieties world-wide.
