Description
An old favourite for masses of white and reddish-pink flowers in spring. An attractive focal point for gardens and parks where there is space for the tree to attain its natural form.
Foliage is bright green, turning yellow in Autumn.
Mildly fragrant flowers are borne in abundant clusters in early Spring. The reddish-pink outer of the petals fade to pink and the inside of the petals fade to white giving a brilliant contrast.
Adaptable to a wide range of conditions including warmer environments. Reasonably tolerant of dry conditions once established. Flowers best in full sun. Grows well in deep, rich, well-draining soil. Disease-resistant.
