Description
"Woolly Bear Hero", a cultivar of the Woolly Grevillea (Grevillea lanigera), captivates with its red to creamy white flowers from Djeran (autumn) through to Birak (early summer). As a groundcover, this Australian native draws the admiring gaze of both gardeners and native birds alike. The velvety texture and vibrant colours make it a ground-level hero for any landscape, bringing life and movement to garden beds.
When planting "Woolly Bear Hero" in the ground, it's advised to boost poor, sandy soils with a good-quality soil conditioner to foster its growth. To ensure it flourishes, a dose of low-phosphorus native fertiliser is recommended during Djilba (early spring). After it's well-established, this Woolly Grevillea showcases its resilience by thriving even in drought conditions, making it a low-maintenance treasure for gardens.
