Description
The "Dwarf Form" cultivar of the Yellow Bloodwood is adorned with vibrant deep orange blossoms that illuminate the garden during Djilba (late winter to early spring). This Australian native is a dwarf variety of Corymbia eximia var. nana, reaching a height of only up to 8 metres, making it a compact yet striking addition to gardens desiring a touch of vivid colour without the expanse of a full-sized tree.
When planting the "Dwarf Form", it's best suited in the ground, with sandy soils benefiting from a hearty mix of soil conditioner. Gardeners should be heedful of its roots, ensuring it isn't too proximate to structures to avoid potential root disturbance. To maintain its vivacious hue and health, a light application of native plant fertiliser during Djilba (late winter to early spring) is recommended.
