Description

Cordyline australis 'Pink Passion' is an evergreen shrub originating from New Zealand, known for its striking, sword-like leaves with a unique combination of grey-purple hues and bright pink margins. This cultivar, a sport of 'Red Star,' adds vibrant colour and a tropical feel to gardens, making it an excellent choice for Perth’s climate. Growing to about 1 metre in height and width, 'Pink Passion' forms a clump that works well as a focal point in garden beds, borders, or large pots on patios or courtyards.

'Pink Passion' thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained soil, tolerating coastal conditions and salty winds. This low-maintenance plant is drought-tolerant once established but will benefit from occasional watering during extended dry spells. In Birak (Early Summer), mature plants may produce panicles of small, fragrant white flowers, adding further ornamental appeal to its vibrant foliage.
