Description
The "Calipetite® Blue" cultivar of Calibrachoa, commonly known as Million Bells, produces a dazzling display of deep purple blooms that gradually fade to a delicate light purple. Its profuse flowering, resembling miniature petunias, serves as an enchanting carpet of colour throughout the garden. This compact plant is especially loved for the cascading blooms it brings to hanging baskets and containers.
Whether planted in the ground or in pots, "Calipetite® Blue" flourishes best in well-draining soil, and poor, sandy soils can be improved with the addition of a quality soil conditioner. It thrives under full sunlight and requires regular watering, particularly during Bunuru (summer) to maintain its vibrant appearance. To keep it flowering prolifically, apply a balanced liquid fertiliser during Djilba (spring).
