Description
The "CranRazz" cultivar of Butterfly Bush (Buddleja davidii) is a medium-sized shrub famous for its magenta/cranberry flowers that blossom during Djilba (early spring). Their beautiful scent is a magnet for butterflies, making it a fascinating focal point in the garden or as an eye-catching feature in pots. It enjoys full sun, but needs protection from the harsh afternoon rays, and grows well both in the ground and in pots.
To cultivate "CranRazz" successfully, plant it in the ground with improved soil if it's sandy or poor, or in well-drained pots. Prune mainly in Makuru (winter) and dead-head spent flowers regularly to encourage new blooms. Fertilising should be done in Djilba (early spring) with a general-purpose fertiliser. Follow these special instructions to create a vibrant and fragrant garden attraction that will not only add colour but also become a favourite among butterfly enthusiasts.
