Description
The "King's Park Royale" cultivar of Kangaroo Paw (Anigozanthos) is a vibrant and attractive plant that sports unique flowers with purple-pink tips fading to a bright orange-red base. These exquisite flowers can be seen year-round but are most prevalent in the warm months. As a drought-hardy species native to Western Australia, it thrives both in the ground and in pots, making it a versatile addition to any garden space.
Display "King's Park Royale" as a feature plant or among other native flora, appreciating its bright colours and distinctive form. It prefers full sun and can adapt to various soil types but will flourish with improved sandy soils. Watering needs are minimal once established, and it responds well to fertilising with native fertiliser in Djilba (late winter to early spring) and Djeran (autumn). For a fresh look, it can be pruned hard to the ground in early Djeran (autumn), encouraging new growth and maintaining its lively appearance.
