Description

The "Gold Velvet" cultivar of Kangaroo Paw (Anigozanthos) features flowers with a bright yellow hue that fades to orange-red at the base, offering year-round flowering. These vibrant colours make it a striking focal point in any garden setting. This drought-hardy plant can be planted both in the ground and in pots, thriving in a variety of locations. If planting in poor, sandy soils, consider improving the ground with organic matter for the best results.

Pruning can be done hard to the ground in early Djeran (Autumn), and fertilising with native fertiliser in Djilba (late Winter to early Spring) and Djeran will nourish the plant. Whether in a mixed border, container, or used to create a vivid mass planting, the "Gold Velvet" provides a lively and tropical feel to the garden. Its unique colour combination ensures that it's a standout feature, enhancing any landscape with its alluring charm.
