Description
The "Aunty Ruby’s Green" tomato is a standout cultivar of Solanum lycopersicum. These tomatoes are known for their big, juicy fruits boasting a vibrant green hue even when ripe, each weighing in at a hefty 400-500 grams. With a slightly flattened globe shape, they offer a smooth texture combined with a tangy, yet subtly sweet taste, making them ideal for slicing into salads or simply enjoying fresh off the vine.
To get the best from these green gems, plant them in large pots filled with a premium quality potting mix or directly in your vege/herb garden complemented with a top-grade soil conditioner. Loving full sun, "Aunty Ruby’s" thrive especially during the Bunuru (late summer) season with regular watering and a bit of liquid fertiliser. In about 75-85 days post-planting, these tomatoes will be ready for harvesting. Given their size, they do require staking for support. Harvest when they're green with a subtle yellow to pink blush at the base, signalling they're ripe and ready.
