Description
"New Blood", a cultivar of Grevillea (Grevillea juniperina), boasts vibrant red flowers that bathe gardens in colour from Djeran to Kambarang (autumn to late spring). A choice groundcover, this native Australian plant not only adds a dash of hue to landscapes but also acts as a beacon for native birds, inviting them to visit frequently.
Optimal growth of "New Blood" is achieved when planted in the ground, and it's a wise move to enhance sandy soils with a quality soil conditioner. As this Grevillea matures, it becomes commendably drought-resistant, making it a sturdy and low-maintenance addition. For an extra vitality boost, feed it with a low-phosphorus native fertiliser during Djilba (early spring).
