Description

The 'Goldilocks' cultivar of Epipremnum aureum, commonly known as Devil's Ivy or Golden Pothos, is a striking evergreen climber renowned for its vibrant, neon-green, heart-shaped leaves. Originating from French Polynesia, this plant can produce vines up to 20 metres in length under optimal conditions. However, when cultivated indoors in Perth, it typically reaches more manageable lengths, making it ideal for hanging baskets, pots, or as a climbing feature on trellises. Its bright foliage adds a lively touch to indoor spaces, thriving in bright, indirect sunlight.

To care for 'Goldilocks', plant it in well-draining soil enriched with organic matter to support healthy growth. Maintain consistent moisture by watering when the topsoil feels dry, ensuring the soil remains moist but not waterlogged. During Perth's warmer months, regular watering is essential, while in cooler periods, reduce the frequency to prevent overwatering. Fertilising monthly during the growing season with a balanced liquid fertiliser will promote lush foliage. Pruning any leggy or overgrown vines will help maintain the desired shape and encourage bushier growth. 'Goldilocks' is well-suited to Perth's indoor environments, tolerating a range of humidity levels and contributing to improved indoor air quality.
