Description
Anthurium scherzerianum, also known as the Pigtail Plant, is a unique tropical species with the 'White'-flowering cultivar, showcasing elegant white blooms on its signature curled flower spathes. Originating from Costa Rica, this plant is ideally suited for indoor or shaded outdoor environments in Perth, thriving in part shade or bright, indirect light. It does well in pots or containers with a well-draining soil mix, adding an exotic appeal to interiors and shaded garden spaces.
This Anthurium grows to around 40–50 cm in height and has a spread of 30–40 cm, making it manageable for both small and large spaces. Its white flowers appear from Djilba (Early Spring) through Bunuru (Late Summer), offering seasonal interest with its distinctive blooms.
